Q Discuss three central figures in the development of Athenian government and their contributions (Choose among Draco, Solon, Peisistratus, Cleisthenes, or Pericles).
Draco was the tyrant who wrote a set of rules to delegate the role to the different nobles in the society to keep them away from any conflicts. Draco’s laws were putting people under the chain of slavery out of their whims and this was indeed a part of solution of the problem. Solon, the successor of Draco introduced the other solution. While the people got to know the benefits of the slavery, they got themselves engaged in cultivating crops. Solon was another tyrant who launched several practices like he clears all debt; he no longer allows people to slavery; he puts limit to the land one could own; and created four classes of landowners, and gave all a chance to participate in governmental matters.
